Alpine Kilns: Precision, Performance, and Reliability

For over 60 years, Alpine built high-performance kilns known for exceptional design, reliable performance, superior craftsmanship, and state-of-the-art controls. Constructed with heavy-duty steel and lined with 2800°F insulating firebrick, Alpine kilns are prized for their heat retention, energy efficiency, and precise firing results. Whether gas or electric, each kiln was engineered with advanced safety features, customizable controls, and long-term reliability—many are still in continuous use today.

While Alpine is no longer building kilns, we continue to support our legacy equipment with expert service and repairs. Our team knows these kilns inside and out and is committed to helping you keep yours running safely and efficiently for years to come.

Alpine Gas Kilns

Alpine gas kilns were engineered for ceramicists who need powerful, efficient firing with fine-tuned atmospheric control. Featuring forced draft burner systems, these kilns provide even heat distribution, faster firing cycles, and up to 50% fuel savings compared to traditional designs. An automatic electronic flame ignition system ensures safety by re-igniting the pilot flame if it goes out. Designed for both oxidation and reduction firing, Alpine gas kilns continue to serve artists, schools, and studios reliably. Many older models can also be upgraded with modern control systems to enhance performance and safety.

Alpine Electric Kilns

For those who prefer electric firing, Alpine electric kilns were designed for precision and ease of use with advanced digital controls. Reaching temperatures up to 2350°F (cone 10), they're well-suited for use in studios, schools, and industrial applications. Front-loading designs with smooth, hinged doors allow for easy loading and secure sealing. Solid-state relays, programmable controllers, and automatic shutoff features enhance reliability and safety. Like their gas counterparts, these kilns can be retrofitted with modern components to extend their lifespan and meet evolving safety standards.
